Social Dancing Opportunities - July 17 to July 21

Hello Fellow Dancers,

An excessive heat warning has been issued from Wednesday morning through Sunday evening.  Please keep this in mind if you plan to attend any of the outdoor dances listed below. 

1.  Wednesday, July 17

What:  West Coast Swing Dance hosted by UCSwing

Where:  St. Mary's Church Parish Hall, 3916 Locust Walk, Penn Campus

Time:  Lesson from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM; social dancing from 9:15 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  $5 with a student ID; $7 for everyone else; FREE for first timers

2.  Wednesday, July 17

What:  Sunset Salsa & Bachata (21+)

Where:  Moshulu, 401 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 1 AM

Admission:  $7

3.  Thursday, July 18

What:  Bachata Thursdays (21+)

Where:  Lucha Cartel, 207 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $6

4.  Friday, July 19

What:  Salsa Party

Where:  West Philly Ballroom & Latin Dance, 4520 Baltimore Ave., Phila.

Time:  8:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Mini-lessons plus social dancing)

Admission:  $12. 

If you have a PennCard, the best way to get there may be via Penn Transit (215-898-RIDE/7433).  You could also take SEPTA's 34 trolley.

5.  Friday, July 19

What:  Salsa at Spruce

Where:  Spruce Street Harbor Park, 301 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia

Time:  7 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  FREE

6.  Sunday, July 21

What:  Bachata & Salsa at The Rocky Steps

Where:  2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
Time:  6 PM to 8 PM

Admission:  FREE
