Congratulations to the members of the PLBD Team on their performance at the Princeton Ballroom Dance Competition last weekend!

Salsa classes at Drexel will start tonight (Tuesday, October 22).  See here for details.  Bachata and Zouk classes with Penn Social Dance continue this Thursday, October 24.  See here for further info.

1.  Wednesday, Oct. 23

What:  West Coast Swing Dance hosted by UCSwing

Where:  St. Mary's Church Parish Hall, 3916 Locust Walk, Penn Campus

Time:  Lesson from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM; social dancing from 9:15 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  $5 with a student ID; $7 for everyone else; FREE for first timers

2.  Thursday, Oct. 24

What:  Bachata Thursdays (21+)

Where:  Lucha Cartel, 207 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $6

3.  Friday, Oct. 25

What:  Ballroom Dance Mixer & 1st Anniversary Party (Masquerade Ball)

Where:  West Philly Ballroom & Latin Dance, 4520 Baltimore Ave., Phila.

Time:  8:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Mini-lessons plus social dancing)

Admission:  $12.  No partner or experience necessary.

If you have a PennCard, you can take Penn Transit (215-898-RIDE/7433).  You could also take SEPTA's 34 trolley.

4.  Sunday, Oct. 27

What:  Bachata & Salsa at The Rocky Steps

Where:  2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
Time:  5 PM to 7 PM

Admission:  FREE
