Salsa & Bachata Classes and Social Dancing Opportunities - Jan. 15 to Jan. 18

Hello Fellow Dancers,

Welcome back for another semester of social dancing! 

Salsa and bachata classes with Drexel Salsa will be on Wednesdays and the next lesson will be on January 15.  These classes will be held in the Bossone Research Center at 3140 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104.  Salsa lessons will be at 6 PM, and bachata at 7 PM.  The fees are $5 per lesson, $10 per day or $40 per term for 10 days of classes ($4 per day).

1.  Wednesday, Jan. 15

What:  West Coast Swing Dance hosted by UCSwing

Where:  St. Mary's Church Parish Hall, 3916 Locust Walk, Penn Campus

Time:  Lesson from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM; social dancing from 9:15 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  $5 with a student ID; $7 for everyone else; FREE for first timers

2.  Thursday, Jan. 16

What:  Bachata Thursdays (21+)

Where:  Lucha Cartel, 207 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $6

3.  Friday, Jan. 17

What:  Latin Dance (mainly salsa) Party

Where:  West Philly Ballroom & Latin Dance, 4520 Baltimore Ave., Phila.

Time:  8:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Mini-lessons plus social dancing)

Admission:  $12.  No partner or experience necessary.

If you have a PennCard, you can take Penn Transit (215-898-RIDE/7433).  You could also take SEPTA's 34 trolley.

4.  Saturday, Jan. 18

What:  Latin Night (21+)

Where:  Moshulu, 401 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $20 at the door.  Dress & tie attire requested.
