Social Dancing Opportunities - August 7 to August 11

There are 2 dances in the University City area this week.  I'm referring to the West Coast Swing dance at St. Mary's Church Parish Hall on Wednesday, and the Salsa & Bachata social at City Tap University City on Friday.  

1.  Wednesday, Aug. 7

What:  West Coast Swing Dance hosted by UCSwing

Where:  St. Mary's Church Parish Hall, 3916 Locust Walk, Penn Campus

Time:  Lesson from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM; social dancing from 9:15 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  $5 with a student ID; $7 for everyone else; FREE for first timers

2.  Thursday, Aug. 8

What:  Bachata Thursdays (21+)

Where:  Lucha Cartel, 207 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $7

3.  Friday, Aug. 9

What:  Salsa & Bachata on the Patio

Where:  City Tap University City, 3925 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Time:  7 PM to 10 PM

Admission:  FREE

4.  Friday, Aug. 9

What:  Salsa at Spruce

Where:  Spruce Street Harbor Park, 301 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia

Time:  7 PM to 11 PM

Admission:  FREE

5.  Saturday, Aug. 10

What:  Salsa Under The Stars (21+)

Where:  Moshulu, 401 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19106

Time:  10 PM to 2 AM

Admission:  $15

6.  Sunday, Aug. 11

What:  Bachata & Salsa at The Rocky Steps

Where:  2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130
Time:  6 PM to 8 PM
