Saved Games - Help

Hi guys

This is my first posting so sorry to dive straight in with asking for
help . Lost my beloved console last week and those nice people at Sony
swapped it with a new one no questions asked. Problem is I don't think
to back up anything so I've lost all my saved games.

I've got a load of SAVED GAME files on the free DVD you get with the
magazines but I don't know what to do with them. Can anyone help?

I'm not too worried about the games I've finished but I'm partially
through orange box and Assasins Creed.
