Hello,

maybe a stupid question, using PIVlab i can get velocity magnitude form frame to frame, i didn't see rms , is it possible to get that value on a frame to farme basis ?
I've seen the TKE calculation as well and here again, is it possible to access that value on a frame to frame basis so as to see how the parameter evolves over time ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi, from my understanding, these values are calculated over time. So I dont think we can calculate it over area. That would just give a single value for each frame.

Hello William,

yes indeed we would get one value for each time interval as it is done for mean velocity (here you get one value per time interval and the measurement is performed over a defined area)

Maybe i'm unclear ...

Dear Fabrice, ok, but I don't see a typical usecase for this. I think you could easily do this in Matlab or Excel yourself after exporting the data.
