Call for Volunteers 9/13, 9/14

Hope you all had a great summer. We have two events coming up this weekend
(Sept. 13 & 14) and we could use help with either or both. Beth Lowe is in
Japan, so she is not available to help or send out notices so we are doing our
best to fill in. On Saturday, from 10-3, we have a table on the Common for
Waltham Day. If I have time, I will round up some stuff to hand out. If not, I
will just have flyers for our concert on Sunday. There will be lots to see and
do on the Common, so come on down!
On Sunday, from 12-4, we have booked Steve Taddeo and the Dick Donovan Big
Band. We have the City Trolley to bring people from the parking lot up to
Little Prospect and we are going to set up the band by the big pavilion there.
We could use help Saturday with handing out flyers and manning the table. We
could use help on Sunday with directing people where to park and where to wait
for the trolley, and then just bodies around at the top, just to be there for
support, which we surely need. I saw Steve's band last night at St. Mary's and
they were great!
We have a gift from Waltham Tourism Council, and one from Park Lodge Hotels, as
well as one from Inge Uhlir. All that helps, but if we have to pay for the
Police Detail, that will be a couple hundred more. So if anyone knows anyone
else who would like to make a small donation to help with expenses that would
be great.
