I'm passing on the e-mail below for those of you who knew Susan Brown. She
was one of the Prospect Hill Park Advocacy Group's earliest supporters, and
will be profoundly missed.

Dear members and friends of First Parish,
With sadness I write to let you know that Susan Brown died at home earlier
this afternoon.
There will be visitation times at Susan's home, 85 Crescent Street in
Waltham, on Sunday, December 6, and on Monday, December 7, between 3:00 p.m.
and 6:00 p.m. Susan's remains will be resting in her favorite room
overlooking the river and you are welcome to stop by the house for a final
meditative moment with Susan. In her daughter Madhuma's words, "mother
wanted to offer friends and fellow travelers this time to precipitate a
sense of 'completion ' with her." The family is stressing simplicity, so
please no flowers, no food.
Please keep the Brown family in your thoughts and prayers. Cards of
condolence and sympathy can be sent to Susan's children - Melanie Garrison,
Chaz Brown, Madhuma Thompson, and Sarah Brown - at Susan's home - 85
Crescent Street.
A memorial service for Susan is being planned for next Saturday, December
12, at 11:00 a.m. at First Parish in Waltham. A reception will follow. All
are welcome to attend.
