On July 28th, people from all over the country will converge on Washington, DC for the nation's largest ever demonstration to end the practice of hydraulic fracturing ("fracking"). Thousands will gather on the West Lawn of the Capitol and ask the President and Congress to end all drilling that harms public health, water and air.
And we'll ask our government to stop giving special exemptions and subsidies to the oil and gas industry, and instead invest in clean, renewable energy technologies! Visit http://www.stopthefrackattack.org/

The Bus for Progress is headed to STOP THE FRACK ATTACK with seats for 25 people. We hope you'll join us!

We've been in contact with the organizers of this event, and have been offered parking nearby. We'll cover the bus with "stop fracking" banners for all to see. This should allow our riders to visit the bus throughout the day to rest, use the bathroom, and cool down in the air conditioning.

In addition, we've also been given permission to ride in the actual march that follows the rally!! Our passengers will have the choice to march in front of the bus, ride inside, or stand on our unique roof platform.

The rally begins at 2 PM with guests such as Josh Fox (producer of Gasland), Bill McRibbon (head of 350.org) and others speaking on stage. At 3:30, the march begins up to Franklin Square area. At approx 5:30 PM we'll start to head home, or stop somewhere for dinner together first (depending upon your preference).

We'll pick up folks from the Monmouth Service Area (Mile 100) on the Garden State Parkway at 8 AM, and the Jackson Outlet Mall (just off I-195 and CR-537) at 8:30 AM. We are asking for a $45 donation from Exit 100, and $43 donation from Jackson. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds go to keep the Bus for Progress rolling! To reserve your seat, visit http://www.busforprogress.org/events

The Bus for Progress is a super fun and sociable way to travel! It has couches, seats and tables with a built in cooler, full restroom, microwave and seat belts. Click here for photos - www.BusForProgress.org.

If you would like to join us but do not have the financial means to do so, please send an email to in...@BusForProgress.org. If you would like to make a donation to Sponsor a Rider (even if you cannot attend yourself), you can donate at http://www.busforprogress.org/events

We are also accepting donations to have several large anti-fracking banners printed and mounted on the sides of the bus. They will be seen by hundreds on the highway and throughout Washington. Donors will be given the opportunity to sign their banner so everyone knows where it came from! Visit http://www.busforprogress.org/events to donate. Just $5 or $10 will help! We'll also use the banners again for events in the future.

Join us to STOP THE FRACK ATTACK – the out-of-control rush to drill that is putting oil and gas industry profits over our health, our families, our property, our communities, and our futures.

Invite friends and family! The more people we bring, the bigger our statement! We hope to see you on board the Bus for Progress!
