Crunch Time to get Rocky Anderson & Luis Rodriguez on NJ Ballot

We only have a couple of days to finish gathering the necessary signatures to get Rocky Anderson for President 2012 [1] and his recently announced VP, Luis Rodriguez [2] on the NJ ballot as nominees of the newly formed Justice Party [3].

The road team is here and have been working hard to finish up the petition. They are looking for people who would be willing to help with securing the final number of signatures needed to have the best Presidential candidates on the ballot in New Jersey this November.

If you are able to give an hour or two to help the road team, please contact Mike at 801-638-6150 smp...@hotmail.com or Tim at 856-332-2157 / 856-858-4997 nj.just...@gmail.com

The Justice Party is offering a dynamic duo with Rocky and Luis, two men who have dedicated their lives to fighting for others. Two men who have helped organize numerous events on important issues and who were not afraid to be in the streets with other activists at those events. Showing their sincerity to the issues and actually presenting solutions to many problems, distinguishing them from the other elitist Presidential candidates.

Both have demonstrated great leadership and have shown a proven commitment to social, economic, and environmental justice.

Rocky while mayor of Salt Lake City implemented perhaps the nation’s most comprehensive restorative justice programs, created city-wide after-school and summer programs, and was considered by many to be the “greenest mayor” in the U.S. During his service as Mayor, he reduced greenhouse gas emissions [4] from city operations by 31% in three years and was one of the top climate protection activists in the world, winning the World Leadership Award in London for environmental programs and advocacy.

Also demonstrated by building Light Rail and public transportation, they improved air quality leading to improved health, reduction of traffic and congestion, smart growth, mobility freedom and community interaction. Asthma attacks were dramatically lower as a result.

While still mayor, Anderson rose to nationwide prominence as a champion of several national and international causes, including climate protection [5], immigration reform, one of the top 10 in the world straight advocates for LGBT rights [6], and calling for an end to the "war on drugs". [7]

Before and after [8] the invasion by the U.S. of Iraq in 2003, Anderson was a leading opponent of the invasion and occupation of Iraq and related human rights abuses. Anderson was the only mayor of a major U.S. city who advocated for the impeachment of President George W. Bush, which he did in many venues throughout the United States.

Among the many issues,Anderson supports and offers solutions to achieving single-payer health coverage “Medicare for All” [9], restoring the rule of law [10] and the end to Corporate Welfare [11].

Recently the Washington Times [12] did a four part series on Rocky about his stand on the issues and his accomplishments, worth reading.

Rocky’s pick for VP truly exemplifies the dedication of his commitment to serve the people. Luis Rodriguez, has for over thirty years conducted workshops, readings, and talks in prisons, juvenile facilities, homeless shelters, migrant camps, universities, public and private schools, conferences, churches, Native American reservations, and men's conferences.

Luis has received the Inner City Struggle of East L.A.’s “Spirit of Struggle”/Ruben Salazar Award; the “Local Hero of Community” Award from KCET-TV of L.A. and Union Bank of California; “Hero of Nonviolence” Award from Rev. Michael Beckwith and the Agape Christian Center in Culver City, CA; and an "Unsung Heroes of Compassion" Award, presented by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

So get out and get involved and help give people a real choice this November. Please contact Mike at 801-638-6150 smp...@hotmail.com or Tim at 856-332-2157 / 856-858-4997 nj.just...@gmail.com to help with signatures for ballot access in NJ.
