Where: Will be held at the Garden State Equality Ramp Up - Trinity Church, 503 Asbury Avenue,Asbury Park
This month we will be holding our meeting in
support of Marriage Equality for same sex couples in New Jersey. The legislature
is expected to include the "Freedom of Religion and Equality in Civil Marriage
Act" on its legislative agenda in November.
Join us on Thursday
evening, November 5, as Garden State Equality presents Regional Ramp-Up meetings
throughout New Jersey in support of the final push to pass marriage equality in
the state Legislature

Sylvia
Metzler, a long time Nicaraguan and Central American solidarity activist, will
just be back from a visit to Honduras as part of a Quest for Peace
delegation accompanying supporters of deposed President Zelaya and learning
about the realities on the ground in Honduras six months after the
military coup.
Sylvia
has been involved with many justice and peace issues and groups in the
Philadelphia area for over 40 years, including HCAP (Health Care for All
Philadelphia), promoting a single payer universal health care system, Grannies
for Peace, and the Brandywine Peace Community She a is
family nurse practitioner, co-chairs Medicines for Nicaragua, and serves on the
board of the Norris Square Neighborhood Project.
From
1990 - 1992, Sylvia served as a volunteer nurse practitioner in
Nicaragua. She lives and
works in Kensington, North Philadelphia where
her major hobby is gardening with plants and
children.
