I am so tired of seeing the ignorant postings about how voting for a 3rd party would be a repeat of the 2000 election, how Nader cost Gore the election…..THAT IS BS!!!!!

ONCE AND FOR ALL LETS PUT THIS PROPAGANDA ABOUT NADER “The Spoiler” TO REST: After you read this and check out the links, I want to see this plastered all over the internet.

It's Time to cut you off the KOOL AID ! (For the record, I did vote for Gore in 2000. )

a) Gore chose Joe Lieberman for VP which allot of people didn’t care for.

b) Gore distanced himself from Clinton, which a number of people were upset about.

c) Gore won the popular vote by over 500,000, but the Supreme Court over-ruled Florida’s Supreme Court decision to count all the votes, and stopped the count and appointed Florida's 25 Electoral votes to Bush.

d) Those who voted for Nader would have stayed home if they didn’t have a different choice other than Gore….so Nader didn’t steal any votes from Gore. Those who voted for Nader, would not have voted for Gore anyway.

You should expect to see a repeat of that this year, because the base isn’t turning out for the primaries, every state so far has reported record low democratic voter turnout and Obama is having a hard time of getting 60% of the primary voters. Shows people wanted a "different choice" for president.

e) Congress is in charge of approving the electoral votes that decides who is President.
NOW PAY CLOSE ATTENTION>>>> HERE’S THE TRUTH>>>>> THE DEMOCRATIC SENATE ELECTED BUSH !!!!

Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus tried repeatedly to challenge the assignment of Florida’s 25 electoral votes to Bush. More than a dozen Democrats followed suit, seeking to force a debate on the validity of Florida’s vote on the grounds that all votes may not have been counted and that some voters were wrongly denied the right to vote.

All they needed was just ONE of the 50 DEMOCRATIC SENATORS to sign onto their objection to stop Bush from being President. Watch C-SPAN video: http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/161423-1

Also here is the transcript from that day: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0101/06/se.05.html

The Congressional Black Caucus effort failed for lack of the necessary signature by any senator.

Sen. Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) had previously advised Democratic senators not to cooperate. “and They did not.” http://www.wsws.org/articles/2001/jan2001/cong-j08.shtml

Remember Feingold, Sanders, and Brown were all members of the Senate in 2000……and anyone of them could have saved us and this country…..but they didn’t.

Now Do You Have the Story Straight ? Nader had nothing to do with Gore loosing ……it was the DEMOCRATS !!!
