Far Worse Than Citizens United

For a couple of months I have been trying to alert people to the dangers of a secret Trade Agreement that has very little to do with Trade.

Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA)

If allowed to be activated this agreement will grant corporations complete control over the governments of the countries who are partners of the agreement. Thus, Bringing forth complete fascist corporate rule.

Watch this video from Democracy Now to understand the basics of the corporations’ attempt to form global governance http://www.democracynow.org/2012/6/14/breaking_08_pledge_leaked_trade_doc

One of our South Jersey gang, Rudy Avizius, wrote a very good summary (that was picked up by 10 other websites) of what TPPA is and what is at stake if we don’t take action now to stop it. http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article35265.html

The next negotiating round of the Trans-Pacific Partnership will take place in Leesburg, Virginia from September 6-15, 2012

We must start planning a huge protest to stop TPPA.

Check out this article to see how the Main Stream Media is staying away from reporting on this:

·         Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) and the Sierra Club                                                                                                            Excerpt: The TPPA should be front page news! I found this quite disturbing since the decisions of the TPPA will affect all of us, not just in this country but all the ones who sign up. In our country every state in the U.S. and the federal government would have to abide by the rules created by the TPP. These include domestic policy on financial, healthcare, energy, telecommunications; patents, copyrights, food and product standards; land use and natural resources. http://www.laprogressive.com/trans-pacific-partnership-agreement-tppa/

·         TPP FTA (TPPA): Trans-Pacific Partnership Free Trade Agreement Subordinates Nations (And People) To Corporations   Excerpt: "Despite the White House's efforts to keep [the] proposed free trade agreement concealed from the public - and even Congress - an excerpt from the TPP leaked Wednesday [6/13/2012] reveals that President Obama is prepared to bow to multinational corporations... According to the leaked excerpt, the Obama administration has been considering TPP provisions that would allow foreign corporation...s operating within the United States to appeal regulations on the environment and banking that would be forced on American-owned businesses with no chance of reprieve. While the United States could be sanctioned for failing to impose regulations on American-run businesses, multinational corporations are practically encouraged to do as much because the TPP outlines a clear avenue to file an appeal. If one of the eight Pacific nations chooses to do as much, their plea would be heard by an international tribunal that could overrule US law."  http://occupylosangeles.org/?q=node/9837
