CAN is proactively trying to handle the rain, so we're planning on starting the tournament at 11:00, which means our schedule has changed. We play at 4:50 on Saturday and at 12:10 and 1:20 on Sunday. That means a PC arrival to Goddard no later than 3:30 on Saturday and 10:30 on Sunday.

That's the schedule as of right now. It could change again depending on the weather. The biggest obstacle to starting at 11:00 will be field conditions. If you can, get there early (anytime after 06:00) to help prep the fields. Metal rakes/shovels/shopvacs/portable generators, etc. are welcome additions to assist in these efforts. If we can't prep the fields, we can't play, so the more hands the better.

Adjustments: Beer truck will open when 4 fields are prepped. This should motivate some more folks to get out there and shovel. There will be one meal on Saturday instead of the usual two.

Our volunteer shift and scorekeeper times will probably change, but I don't know to what yet. No changes unless you hear from me or Paddy.

I'm sure there will be an Update #4 at some point.

Here's how it's going to work. We go 3-0. We win our pod, and we're on to the elimination tournament on the 17th. That's the plan.

We secured 6 parking permits this year, more than expected, so I have a few adjustments to the transportation schedule. Here's the new plan:
Me, Burke, RePete, Tim, Allin, and JR have the parking permits. I'll have all our permits, so call me when you get to the field and I'll run out to meet you, unless I see you before Saturday.
Julia, Alvaro, and Alexa make your way to JR and then go right to the field.
Meredith grab a ride with Ben to the field using the MD permit.
Allison is on the ND permit with Jimmy.
Patrick meet up with Pete and head to the Inn.
Greg & Cousin Greg drive to the Inn.
Mark gets to the Inn.
Tim heads to the Inn and picks up Greg, Cousin Greg, and Mark and then to the field.
Allin heads to the Inn to pick up Pete and Patrick and then to the field.
Drivers, please coordinate with your passengers according to your departure time. If arrival times do not sync up well between passengers and drivers, please reach out to others to make alternative arrangements or just rely on Uber (knowing wait times are a little longer out there).

First game is at 14:30, which means arrival at Goddard no later than 13:00. Our team meeting is at 14:00 at the tents, at which we'll all be ready to play. We'll start a text thread on Saturday morning with all of us (even Greg) to keep folks updated on where the tents are, etc. We encourage everyone to come early and soak in all the CAN Tournament fun before game time if you're able.

Thanks to everyone who has paid for their tournament spot ($80). If you have not, please do so ASAP. Guests are allowed day of ($65 for the weekend) if you have some last-minute additions.

Reminders:
YOU MUST BRING YOUR ID.
You must wear your bracelet for the duration of the tournament, even when playing it must be visible.
Bring any new or gently-used sports equipment for the charity drive!
Arrivals:
Once we find out the time of our games, we'll know more. Alvy is taking care of that for us tomorrow night (Thanks, Alvy!)

Our ask is that you arrive AT THE FIELD NO LATER THAN 90 minutes before Game 1. Note that you will have to check in WITH YOUR ID and get your bracelet, meal tickets, etc. in addition to dropping stuff, navigating the tent village and warming-up. TEAM MEETING WILL BE AT THE TENT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO FIRST PITCH.

I, personally, am arriving around 10:00/10:30 at the latest so I can soak up as much tournament fun as I can and watch my friends play. I invite you to come as early as you like, too. As for parking, we have four parking permits for the field. No parking permit = no spot, and your car will stay at the Holiday Inn and you either grab a ride with someone with a permit or Uber to the field. Leave plenty of time for this. Permits are going to: me, Ben, RePete, and Burke.
Pete, can you pick up Patrick on your way to the Inn?
Alvaro, Greg, and Alexa, can you make your way to JR to head to the Inn?
Julia and Meredith, can you make your way to Ben and head to the field?
Allison is all set with Notre Dame.
Mark, I have no idea where you live, but we've got plenty of transportation options for you! It's a long way to bicycle, but it's do-able. Let us know what you need.
Tim, you're coming from far far away, so you just head straight to the Inn.
If any of you get to the Inn by 10:00, I am happy to take two more people from there to the fields. Same if you're at the Inn around the time Repete or Burke pass by, then they can grab folks. Otherwise, it's an Uber to the field from the Inn.
