Already installed IE8 Beta 2. It works nice. Thank Firefox for
pushing MS on this front....

I don't care for the direction the Firefox UI is going. Just don't like it.
Visceral reaction. Prefer IE or SeaMonkey, even tho SM UI is really dated,
still prefer it.

Can't say I've thought about the UI direction but on FF it's skinnable
if you don't like the basic layout...

True. Good point.

I have found that skins often destabilize the app. I use Stardock for
skinning the OS, which seems largely stable.

But also, certain UI behavior--not just the look--annoys me with FFX.

Wow again we agree. I think Firefox is the greatest and definitely has
the best speed, the best addons and skins but 3.0 loses it all.
Password saving that was a major asset of Firefox is reduced and third
party password saver addon ( Always Remember Password) that combated
sites that seek to prevent saving a password and logon are gone. I
hate it and I have gone back to 2.16 but I also know that in time I
must move on somewhere else.

I find myself looking forward to IE8 ... I love the fact that the browser
wars are hot. The best way to get innovation is competition.
