PCGS:

I attempted to send this through Flocknote but... well, it wasn't as straight-forward as this. On August 20th, next Friday, I will be advertising our group to incoming graduate students. Below is the information I have. It says the event starts at 10AM but that we are welcome to arrive as early as 8:30AM which, of course, means I plan on arriving around 9:15AM or 9:30AM. It looks like a table is reserved for us and that means we don't have to arrive early and fight for one. Additionally, I (hopefully we) shouldn't require too much set-up time.

I'll need someone to keep me company and help me advertise the group and before I start asking personally I figured I'd send a general invite. Please don't ignore this invite and do consider joining me even if its just for an hour. I don't know how long the event lasts but I assume it ends around lunch time.

Alfredo

Hello, all,

Many thanks for agreeing to participate in the new graduate student
Information Fair on August 20th, we anticipate a very good turnout –
about 700 (although this year, we are attempting to stagger the crowd
so it is more manageable).

We will be set up in STEW 202 and 214A-D, you are welcome to arrive at
8:30am.  Please have your table(s) prepared by 9:30/45am, this will
ensure we’re ready for the crowd at 10:00am and will give you all a
chance to have some food (muffins, Danish, fruit, coffee, juice)
before the students arrive.

As you come to the rooms in STEW, table top signs will guide you to
your table.  You may use this sign or take it down and use your own.
If you know of a group you wish to be near, please let me know.  I’ll
be sure to place you next to one another.

Also, if you will need to be by an electrical outlet or have any other
requests - and haven’t already let me know - please contact me as soon
as possible so I can plan and accommodate.  And, of course, call
(494-2604) or email (koke...@purdue.edu) with any questions!

Thanks again!

Krista

I'll be one of the "new" graduates that will be attending the
welcoming on that day. We need to be there by 9am but they didn't
inform us until what time it will be. I'll drop by to give you guys
support:)

Cheers,
Mark

Yup. 9 am. But I think they'll have like welcoming speeches and stuff
for us first.
