I'll also throw out that somewhere in that website is a baldfaced lie. It's hard to spot, but so, so obvious once you know it. And if you a) know anyone who wants to change the world of urban education through a year of service in New York (we're recruiting!) or b) want more updates as we expand from two people with the same name crammed into one office, hazme saber. I could talk about this forever (as y'all are already well aware), so if you want to hear more, let me know. But no me digan that I didn't warn you.

The transition back to the US is not terrible. I already made my way over to Little Ecuador (which I will show y'all if y'all make it out here), where food is too expensive, there is no Pilsener (NO PILSENER???), but the Ecuadorians now buy you drinks at the karaoke bar because you're still the crazy gringo (no, I swear, it's better than I just made it sound).

And a light at the end of the tunnel: When I interviewed for this job, they asked me what the hardest part of starting out in my site was. And I honestly couldn't think of anything. So, it may be tough at the beginning, but by the time y'all're done, the rosy shades of nostalgia will cover up every single minute you spent waiting for your women's group, leaving only those shining moments when the Bon Ice man is coming your way AND he's got Yogoso de coco. Word.
