I was wondering; "Why the age of miracles ended? Why don't God show
more miracles so that all these athiest, unbelievers, and unfaithful
Christians have faith?!! Why don't He show the Glory of His name?!! Why
don't Jesus appear in Heaven so that everybody see Him, and believe?!!"

I struggled a while with that question, for couple of weeks... I was
thinking of all these people, and felt sorry for them, for they don't
know how glorified they are, how beloved they are, that Jesus died on
their behalf.

Today, I recieved the answer to my question. Read the Story of the Rich
Man and Lazarus, from Luke Bible, Chapter 16, starting verse 19 till
the end. Now, listen to this last part :"And he said, 'mThen, I beg
you, father, to send him to my father's house - for I have five
brothers so that he may wrn them, lest they also come into this place
of torment' But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let
them hear them.' And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes
to them from the dead, they will repent.' He said to him, 'If they do
not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if
someone should rise from the dead' " (Luke 16:27-31)

I will not comment; I will leave that to everybody. And we might
discuss in one meeting sometime if you would like, and God allowed.

With Love in Christ

The age of Miracles did not end. Everyday there is a miracle somewhere. We
might not hear about them or see them but they are there. They are in the
smile a stranger gives to you, a helpful hand in the days of suffering,
hope in the eyes of all of the children of the world... We all are
miracles on this earth. To see miracles we need to open our hearts and
look; they are all around us. I pray that one day we would be used to make
a miracle in the name of Jesus Christ.
God Bless you

It quite depends on what you view as miracles.  Look at the small, simple miracles around us every day.

Let me quote quite closely a book which most of you might not like (The Last Templar):

"There is a funny thing about miracles.  People who believe don't need them.  People who do not believe won't see them even if they are right in front of them."

Something like that, I am quoting from memory...

Hi,
Yesterday, during the meeting, we came to the subject of Eucharistic
related miracles.
Turns out there is documentation about more than one, as you can find at:
http://www.therealpresence.org/eucharst/mir/a3.html

Also, the specific one we were talking about happened in Lanciano,
Italy. Here are a couple of links (more in Google):
http://www.miracoloeucaristico.org (only the Italian version seems to be active)
http://www.miracoloeucaristico.com/index.html (click on the English flag)

God bless you all,
Jose

Thanks Lory. So, will you coordinate with that organization for us to volunteer & also prepare a list of who of us will join that great work?

I would love to receive the blessings of participating. Count me in.

Also, we talked about visiting the elderly people. Who wants to participate, please let me know, I will try to coordinate to go visit them sometime.

God Bless,
/Sh

Hi all,

A while ago, we were talking about Eucharistic related miracles.
Today I learned about the following exhibition in the Newman Center.
I thought some of you may be interested.

http://www.pittsburghoratory.org/wordpress/images/bulletin.pdf

June 3-10: The Vatican International Exhibition
"Eucharistic Miracles of the World" will be on display
at the Oratory. The exhibit presents the story of 126
miracles associated with faith in and worship of the
Most Blessed Sacrament. These miracles, like all miracles,
are gifts from God to witness to some truth or to
testify to someone's sanctity. The devout study of the
Eucharistic miracles inspires in us a deeper awareness
and more ardent love of our Lord's Real Presence with
us in the Holy Eucharist.

Please, check the link above for information about the Newman Center.

God bless you all,
Jose
