We'll be voting on some
Bylaw amendments, and then holding officer elections (if we can achieve a quorum: this would be a good meeting to attend!)
Please consider giving it a try and serving as PBPAC co-chair or secretary in 2025-2026! Lets not drop this work!
Cities with bike ped committees are generally able to make better progress towards safe streets than those without. The city or Portland should have an official bike ped committee with staff support; however,
that looks unlikely, at least for now, thus, we've got to do it ourselves. Hopefully the new bylaw amendments, co-chairs and district leaders, will make for an easier workload for executive committee members, allowing us to accomplish even more work, with better representation of the whole of Portland, and with less burnout- but that is up to all of you!
District leaders: if the proposed amendments pass, the co-chairs & secretary will appoint 5 District leaders- the application process will be up to that team, so, if that sounds exciting, consider running for co-chair or Secretary :). If you're hoping to be a District leader, check out the bylaw amendments, offer any suggestions you might have, and show up on Monday the 27th to vote for them!
