Last month we discussed bylaw amendments, which could be presented at our August meeting for adoption in September, in time to take effect right before elections.
I did a little work on what amounts to 3 bylaw amendments, based on tidbits I've heard and thought. I'm looking forward to discussing it at our meeting tomorrow night!
I am interested in what discussion this can cause, and I think it's worth considering how best to move PBPAC forward, but these are intended as a starting point: please discuss, criticize, or propose alternate changes!
My DRAFT of 3 amendments:
Amendment's 2025 essentially a redlined version, but it's green, cause google.
Just those amendment's, by themselves:
Amendments 123
Really short summaries:
- Co-Chairs
instead of chair and vice chair, elected alternately in April and September - District Leaders
Some sort of lead/captain from each district; maybe call them something else; primarily this serves to expand the executive committee, and pushes us to include more input from the whole city on a more regular basis. Might include inviting folks from neighborhood organizations to apply at some point. Not sure. - Executive committee responsibilities.
Frankly, I just find this section lackluster, esp. if we expand the executive committee.
