Pine Meadow Clean Up - This Saturday

Greetings Pack 410,

 

      Many of you are learning who your teachers will be for this school year and school will be starting next week.  I would like to invite as many of you as can make out to Pine Meadow on Saturday morning from 8:00 to 9:00am. 

 

     If you can join us, please bring a five gallon bucket or a bag to pick up trash around the school.  For the adults, I like to make a stabbing stick to impale the trash and pick it up without bending over.  I'm energy efficient like that.  What I do, is get a stick or an old wooden handle from something and pound a 16 penny nail in the end of it.  Then I go to my grinder and grind the head off leaving a nice sharp point to impale the trash.  I think it would be prudent not to "arm" the boys with one but is sure is easier on older back muscles.

 

     I hope to see as many of you as possible Saturday morning and we'll get our school looking sharp for Monday!
