Greetings Pack 410,

I want to get some calendar events out to everyone in a format they can review it.

The next big item, save for our regular meeting on Tuesday, is the Fall Family Camp October 4-6.  I will aim to be at the Pine Meadow parking lot at 2:30 Friday afternoon to load up anything that will not fit your vehicle.  I plan to leave around 3:00pm and anyone who would like to caravan to Camp Euchee is welcome to follow.

On the website, pack410.com, there is a Family Camp Packing List.   It is not intended to be all encompassing nor do you need to bring everything on the list.  It is to help remind you of some suggested items and perhaps remind you of other items you may want to include.

There is also a Family Camp Rules, Directions to Camp Euchee and a map of Camp Euchee download available.

Again, it is $14 per camper (age 5 and under are free) and Tuesday will be the last time to sign up and let us know you intend to join us.  Also, please plan on paying if you have not already.

Then we have Shooting Sports Day October 12 @ St. Anne Parish, 5200 Saufley Field Rd, from 10:00 to 2:00.  Pre-registration is $10 and $12 day of and is open to Scouts and siblings.  Activities include shooting BB guns, Archery, sling shots and perhaps some more.  It is a great opportunity to earn the shoot beltloops if you miss the campout.

The next event will be a trip to Sweet Seasons Farm for their corn maze.  This will be October 19 which is their Scout Day.  If we can get 20 people to go, it will be $8 per person for a Whole Cob ticket.  You can check them out at sweetseasonsfarm.com.  I would like to meet at the school and depart at 9:00am Saturday the 19th and caravan to the farm.  It will take about an hour to get there.  You can also meet us there if you'd like.  We will have all gather and one pay for all.  Once you have your wrist band, you're free to wander the farm and depart at your leisure.

The Webelos have another opportunity to go camping at Camp Euchee November 1-3.  Registering before October 15 is $20 and after is $30.  If you want to supply your own meals Saturday night and Sunday morning, it is $15.

Looking further out, the Raingutter Regatta will be November 19.  Please build a boat with your Scout prior to the Regatta.  Unless your Den plans it, we do not build the boat at the meetings.  Most builders keep an air of secrecy with their boat design and paint scheme.  Boat kis are available at the Scout Store for about $5.  You can choose between a monohull or a catamaran design.  Did you watch any of the America's Cup races?  There may be some strategy ideas there, just saying.

Unfortunately, I am unable to download and attach the fliers associated with the Camping and the Shooting Sports events.  You can view them for yourselves at gulfcoastcouncil.org and click on Calendar and select Pensacola Bay District.

Let me know if you have any questions have a fantastic week!
