Thanks, Stephan.
Hoping that everyone who needs a camera will research some of them, and
see the great values!
TODAY, MAY 15th, 2015, until 6 PM, is the GRAND OPENING SALE!!!
Nikon CoolPix L26 cameras, in Silver, Red, and Black, with 5x optical
zoom, 16.1 Megapixel, using two AA batteries, is of 2014 vintage, MSRP
in 2014 $215.
Listed for sale used, on Amazon at $59. HOPE price is $20. The SDHC
cards are removed by Disney for legal and liability reasons, to protect
the guests/children whose photos may be on them.
Most of the cameras use a LI-MH battery, so chargers can be purchased
on-line.
I found that Walmart price matches, so, purchased two PNY 4GB cards in a
package, their price is $14.88, for the sales matching price of $8.80
for the dual card package.
I visited the HOPE Chest,
1802 W. Broadway • Oviedo,
Florida 32765
on Wednesday afternoon, with two executives of Entellus, who bought
cameras. Also, camera cases are priced at $0.75 and camera bags
at $1 to $3. There are probably over a thousand sunglasses, at $1 per.
Ten FRS radios, by Motorola, Cobra, with some having the Business bands,
start
at $5 per unit, in the basket on shelves across the rear of the store
with other
computer and phone gadgets, stereos, car CD/Radios, speakers, etc.
All the cameras had been moved from the wooden shelves that were 28 to
46 inch high, near the front doors, to floor-waist height plexiglas
shelves, parked
under the bar top at the counter.
More than 250 cameras, are now very jumbled up, after I had sorted them
by brands the week before. Well worth the search, afor the savings!
Both Disney, and HOPE have checked that all power up, and everyone that
I tested did work, though, one red Nikon Coolpix L26 has a weak latch on
the battery door, and will probably need repair.
Clothing, some new from major chain stores, and some donated, is very
clean, and jeans are priced at $2 to $5. Weekly sales of "all you can
put into a grocery bag" for $5, "Half price days" (except on electronics
and cameras) occur during each month, and Wednesdays are Senior discount
day.
Proceeds feed and house homeless families in Seminole County, and helps
those folks to receive professional guidance with resumes, and job
searches.
The store is a wine colored building, before the Habaneros Restaurant,
North East Corner, of the Mitchel Hammock, Aloma/Broadway intersection
just past the gas station.
