All my very dear folks, who run computers, with many different OSes, we
hold real Install Fests so
everyone gets FREE stuff, meets Face to Face, and can help the noobs,
and also, get real hands-on answers to any questions...

Whether we have internet access is not a real issue, things can be
updated, later.
I burn what folks want to have, onto DVDs and bring them to the Install
Fests, whenever notified
prior to the Thursday before each one.

Tomorrow, we are giving out free coffee cups... and who knows what else,
and the LEAP-CF.ORG Install Fest!

I am pleased to see 15 to 30 folks come out each month, to learn and to mix
with the rest of us, in a happy atmosphere of learning.

BUT, you might have noticed that the opportunities to attend the
meetings of computer professionals, hobbyists, and advocates of FOSS,
are a bit limited, almost everywhere.

If you don't attend them, they might just disappear.

If you are someone who complains that there aren't any venues for
meeting and mixing with others who are enjoying computers, and all the
FOSS, and you don't attend the few venues that are FREE and OPEN, then
you are part of the reason that Linux and BSD are NOT "becoming the
change in the world you wish to see"!

Some of us put a whole lot of our own effort, resources, and even money,
into having on hand the
snacks, refreshments, and materials to host these "FREE" meetings, and
would appreciate your attendance, for a few hours, each month, in order
to grow the FOSS movement.

So, folks, I am pushing 70 years of age, and can't do this forever. Lots
of really great folks have come and done their ten to 15 years of
leadership, and are home, now.

My attempts to grow new leadership have not been fruitful. The future
is dependent upon your support, by giving a few hours to our being there
as advocates for FOSS.

I hope my thoughts echo those of the folks who promote the other boards,
meetings, and venues..

What say you?
