Dear All, Please find below some really great and FREE training opportunities from Mossley Light Festival, Global Grooves and Bangdrum CIC. This is great for artists, groups and creatives wanting to get involved with events. No experience necessary but if you do have experience its an opportunity to top up your skills and hear from some great speakers. For the carnival sector its a fabulous opportunity for your volunteers and workforce to develop skills around infrastructure and management support well in time for next years season.  Hope to see you there!

FREE ARTS AND EVENTS MANAGEMENT TRAINING

As part of Mossley Light Festival we have designed a series of training days tailored to the needs of local cultural events. The training days will consist of five stand alone sessions that give an overview of different types of site specific outdoor events ranging from health and safety training and carnival infrastructure to hearing from inspiring international events producers and artists from around the globe.

You can choose to attend as few or as many of the days as you wish.
All the training is FREE and will lead to a final tailored day that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to manage and crew this year’s Mossley Light Festival.

This training day will focus on the hands on elements of leading and managing outdoor events. This will be an opportunity to come together as a team and explore, agree and design the structure of Mossley’s very own events team.

We’ll take a closer look at what’s required to deliver Mossley Light Festival safely and effectively and assign roles to support the final parade event on the 24th November.

Join our fun Carnival band and bring the beats to the streets. Leading up to the ‘big night’ we are holding four fun and friendly music sessions. The workshops will culminate in a fizzing final parade performance to show off your new rhythms.
