Drumming
Hello all!
Now's the time to join our drummers on Saturday mornings and take part
in our summer escapades! New comers and old friends welcome, please
join us on saturday mornings to brush up on your skills ready for
showtime.

This one day
workshop will explore how the rhythms of Candomblé (Nação Ketu) have
influenced the Bloco’s of Salvador Bahia.
By exploring
traditional phrasing and rhythms used in the Candomblé Ketu tradition
we will develop a new and unique original arrangement. The composition
will include unison breaks and solo phrasing for individual
instrumental sections. We will also explore the use of rhythmic
phrasing within the arrangement encouraging conversation between
different sections following the cycle of traditional songs.

June - Performance: Furthest From The Sea Festival
Music, Comedy and Arts Festival in Derby City Centre supporting
Derbyshire artists. Further details to be announced.

Performance: Brazilica (Liverpool Carnival)
Now one of the biggest Brazilian carnivals in the UK,
the parade runs through Liverpool city centre and is big, colourful and
vibrant with lots of inspiring costumes and floats along the way.
