GO DIGITAL

Carnival is a global, geographically fragmented art form. How can digital technology influence artistic content, collaboration and communication?

Is it time for Carnival to go digital?
Global Grooves is currently delivering a sector wide consultation to explore how we can use digital technology to increase participation, collaboration and inspire new ways of communicating and working (and we hope to have your input). We mean ‘digital’ in it’s broadest sense. This could be, but not limited to, ways to increase collaboration and conversation online, ways of developing new work and connections by linking digital arts and technology with traditional Carnival arts, or new innovative ways of using digital to capture our work and share our stories.

How can you get involved with Go Digital?
We want to hear the voice of the Carnival sector to enable us to research and develop ways in which Carnival may ‘go digital’.

Fill in the online survey. This should take around 10-20 minutes to complete and we hope to encourage as many Carnival arts organisations, troupes, groups and practitioners to input into this piece of work. We appreciate your time is precious, and we thank you in advance for feeding into this evolving direction of work. Exciting!

Responses to the survey will be collated and presented anonymously.

You will automatically be entered into a PRIZE DRAW to win £250 to develop your Carnival work. Winners will be announced in February 2017.

The deadline for this survey is Monday 23rd January 2017.

We would appreciate support in sharing the Go Digital Survey with your Carnival network.
