Our theme this year is "normalizing cycling". Date: Thursday, April 12th Time: Doors 7 pm; Call to Order 7:30 pm Where: Fools + Horses Coffee (379 Broadway) We'll have some snacks and of course some great coffee, plus a few guest speakers and some time to linger and socialize to round things out. Presentations: GoManitoba - Mel Marginet & Liz Shearer Call for Board Members The board of Bike Winnipeg is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies at our up-coming AGM, April 12 2018. The board is a working board which oversees the activities of the following committees: Finance Advocacy Outreach Education Fundraising We are seeking board members who are passionate about seeing More People Biking More Often in Winnipeg. Skills in the following areas are desirable, but not necessarily required: Proficiency in French Fundraising Grassroots Advocacy & Public Outreach Urban planning Transportation planning & infrastructure Cycling education. Our board consists of two Co-chairs, Secretary, Treasurer and additional directors up to a maximum of 12. You can review our organizational bylaws here. See page ,1 Section 2. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else please let us know.  Elections will happen at our AGM on April 12, 2018.  Nominees are asked to provide a short bio by April 2, 2018 to include in our board materials. Proposed Change to Bike Winnipeg By-Law Re: Elections for Co-Chairs The board will be considering the following resolution at our AGM on Thursday, April 12th, which will be moved by Bike Winnipeg Executive Committee: WHEREAS; currently clause 2.11 in the Bike Winnipeg By-Laws states that Candidates for Co‐Chairs shall put their names forward together and shall be considered for election as a team at the Annual Meeting of the Organization as outlined in 3.03 herein.; AND WHEREAS: There is no stated or known reason for setting apart the procedure for Co-Chairs of the organization; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that this clause be amended to state the following: The Board may designate the officers of Bike Winnipeg, appoint officers on an annual or more frequent basis. An Officer shall be a director of the organization.
