Handmade in the USA in March 1999.
This lightweight, fast Cannondale road bike is in fantastic condition.
Cannondale has just announced that their frames will no longer be made in
America, so now is the time to get one. Recently tuned and serviced, this
bike is ready for thousands of miles of great riding. The CAAD3 frame has a
legendary stiffness, ideal for climbing and racing. The Slice Carbon fork
helps dampen road vibration without compromising the handling.
This classically beautiful bike has very low mileage, and the original
Shimano 105 groupset is in great condition. The rear derailleur has been
upgraded to a Deore XT, for super-responsive shifting and unsurpassed
climbing ability with the triple crankset. The cassette is 8-speed (if you
know the range, put it here, like 12-28--smallest cog to largest). Wheels
are Mavic Open Pros, rims renowned for trouble free performance. The rear
wheel has just been rebuilt, professionally trued and tensioned, to remedy a
problem with alloy spoke nipples that have been replaced with chrome-plated
brass. Pedals will NOT be apart of the bike. I will be removing them
later.
Very few signs of wear on this bike, just some light scratches, no dents or
damage, never crashed.
Original retail price was $1600. Sale price $800. You also get the original
owners manual, video, and a bag of new spare innertubes. See photos.
