We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Teradata Developer with expertise in cloud technologies to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing Teradata-based solutions while leveraging cloud platforms for enhanced scalability and performance. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Teradata database solutions based on business requirements.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Ensure data integrity and performance in Teradata environments.
- Integrate Teradata solutions with GCP.
- Leverage cloud-based services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Optimize data movement between on-premises Teradata and cloud environments.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Teradata queries and processes.
- Optimize and fine-tune queries and processes for improved efficiency.
- Lead or contribute to the migration of data from on-premises Teradata databases to cloud-based solutions.
- Ensure smooth and accurate data migration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and infrastructure teams.
- Provide technical expertise and support to team members.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Teradata development processes.
- Document integration points and processes between Teradata and cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Teradata development.
- Proven experience in integrating Teradata solutions with cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Teradata SQL, BTEQ, and other Teradata utilities.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP Preferred).
- GCP - TPT solution / Bigquery DTS
- GCP Composer / Airflow
- Data validation strategy
- Knowledge of cloud-based data storage, processing, and analytics services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
