Job title: Drupal Developer

Duration: Long Term 3+ year Contract 

Location: San Francisco - Sacramento, CA. (Hybrid or Remote to Start)

Client : Judicial Council of CA.

Requirement:

Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance): ·

Excellent knowledge of Drupal framework, ideally with Drupal 8/9 experience.

Knowledgeable making simple site configuration, including managing menus, users, blocks, front page settings, etc.

Changing or modifying existing settings.

Knowledge of Multilingual content management.

Able to manage languages and translations of Drupal page elements.

Knowledge of advanced theming.

Provide design implementation, responsive web design, grid-based layout techniques, jQuery-based interactions, Sass, installing themes, creating subthemes, and tweaking sub themes with CSS and custom template files.

2+ years theming in Drupal 8.

 Knowledge of Git. Familiarity with git workflow, cloning, branching merging, applying patches.

Visual design know-how. Ability to understand the visual language in accordance with the stakeholders' goals and existing brand.

Develops and implements user interfaces based on provided UX/UI wireframes, design compositions, and style guides.

Maintains and manages Pattern Library of web components based on the US Web Design System.

Ability to provide user assistance to help end-users interact with software and authoring workflows.

Knowledge of usability testing. Performs testing to gather information about usability problems, as well as verifying good effect of interaction design.

Knowledge of requirements gathering and business analysis.

Captures end results that clients desire, and describing these in development terms – and communicating with the client about both of these.

 Proven track record of developing web accessibility compliance protocols and procedures for a large organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Familiar with Agile project management methodologies.

1. Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

· Recent experience within government agencies or exposure to civic-tech initiatives. 

• The Judicial Council seeks the services of two (2) IT Developer Drupal consultants to support the development of up to 15 additional trial court websites that courts have requested. In addition, the Developer will support other critical Drupal migration tasks, including establishing new subdomains for the six Courts of Appeal websites, and the Judicial Council site. This position will work in close alignment with JCC application developers to provide direct service to trial and Appellate courts in need of new mobile and ADA-accessible websites.
•  In support of Futures Commission recommendations, at the request of the Chief Justice of California, these projects aim to improve the depth and breadth of services targeting California court users with improved digital services. These statewide projects require more staff than we currently have and will rely on the expertise of a developer with Drupal experience.
