Helen Stopek a”h
OBITUARY
Helen Stopek born June 5, 1925 reached her 100th birthday.
She was the wife of the late Harry Stopek sister of the late Nathan (Evelyn) Hoffberg, Morris (Jeanette) Hoffberg, Ruth (Mike) Egel. Mother of David (Marilyn) Stopek, Edward (Shelley Matanky) Stopek, and the late Arthur (Jane) Stopek. Grandmother to Sarah (Scott) Hirsch, Shayna (Mark) Fullarton, Amanda (Alan) Brooks, Jonathan (Sara) Stopek, Leora (Ilan) Heifetz, Adam (Ahuva) Stopek, Sergei Stopek and Charles (Lindsey) Stopek. Great-grandmother to 15. Taught mathematics at Lane Technical High School for 33 years, First Chair Flautist with the North Shore Community Symphony Orchestra. Active member and past Sisterhood President of Congregations Bnai Zion, Shaarei Tikva and Beth Hillel. Avid reader and traveler.
Funeral Service on Wednesday 1:30PM at CJF Skokie Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd. Skokie. Interment follows at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery.
