This resource should be able start and stop SAS servers and examine logging and configuration files. Customer has multiple independent environments: (1) Customer Analytics; (2) Model Risk Management; (3) Enterprise SAS which encompasses a large SAS footprint of tools such as BASE, STAT, IML, ETS, etc. Environments (1) and (2) are RedHat Linux. Environment (3) is mixed between Windows and Linux with eventually complete migration to Linux. One of our client is seeking a SAS ADMINISTRATOR to work with our customer, a large sized energy company in North Carolina. Work location is Charlotte NC.
The consultant will be responsible for the following:
• Perform SAS software administration including software configuration, updates, patches, and hotfixes and license renewals as needed.
• Manages metadata identities, users, groups, and roles.
• Manage, monitor, and tune performance for five (5) SAS environments.
• Uses SAS Management Console to define connections to data sources, define libraries, create metadata objects, creating metadata folder structures.
• Manages permissions to metadata objects.
• Integrate SAS environment with various security tools including Centrify.
• Advise customer’s IT administrators on identification and diagnosis of issues within the environment.
• Acts as lead liaison with SAS Technical Support to resolve outstanding issues with the SAS environment.
• Assist with administration tasks for Linux (RHEL 6.x).
• Configures and tests communication between SAS and multiple relational database systems, including Oracle, DB2, and other data sources.

One of our client is seeking a full time Senior SAS Advanced SAS Programmer to work with our client, a Retail client in Deer field Beach, FL. The consultant will assist the client to automate, design and develop SAS programs, reports, graphs and visualizations. The consultant will use SAS Enterprise Guide, BASE SAS, Macros, ODS, SAS/Graph to develop the reports and graphs. The consultant must have excellent communication skills and must be able to communicate about the techniques developed and results of analysis both to executives and other analysts in the organization.
 
QUALIFICATIONS – ESSENTIAL
 Experience developing reports and content with SAS 9.4 including:•
o Apply and demonstrate expertise with efficient DATA step, SQL programming and SAS Macro programming.
o Be proficient in Base SAS programming (DATA step), SQL programming (i.e., use of SQL pass through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro language for use in making code more efficient.
o SAS is running on a LINUX platform. So, the consultant must have LINUX expertise and scripting experience.
o Leveraging and utilizing SAS Output Delivery System (ODS) experience is preferred.

Specific Requirements:
a. Mid to senior level resource, 5+ years experience
b. Must know SAS Data Integration Studio (Prefers DI Studio 4.9 exp)
c. Nice to have SAS Enterprise Guide.
d. Must be able to build and maintain SAS DI Studio jobs, job flows within
Platform LSF, and troubleshoot job failures.
e. Must be able to perform both production support role as well as new development tasks.
