Hi all,

We have a limited number of seats available for a morning launch event on Thursday, May 23 for the Institute for Housing Studies Cook County Housing Market Indicators Data Portal and we'd love to have some Open Gov folks join us. Registration is required. Details are the bottom of this post.

This event will offer a chance to learn:
  • What the different Housing Market Indicators available on the Portal can tell you about neighborhood health and how you can use them to inform your work
  • What to expect from the IHS Housing Market Indicators Data Portal in the future

Select data sets from our Data Clearinghouse available on the new Data Portal will include:

  • Housing stock composition
  • Property sales activity, including information on cash purchases, low-value sales, and business buyers
  • Mortgage activity
  • Foreclosure filing activity
  • Foreclosure auctions
These data will be available for a variety of Cook County geographies, including:
  • Wards
  • Community areas
  • Municipalities
Data will also be shown for the following residential property types:
  • Single family homes
  • Condominium units
  • Two to four unit apartment buildings
  • Larger multifamily rental buildings
