Dear Ones,
I spoke with Fr. Chet yesterday afternoon and he is in great spirits, I am happy to report…
Here is his news:
LEFT EYE
His procedure on his left eye went very well…that was this past Wednesday morning…
Dr. Yoder, in the hospital at Harrisonburg, replaced the lens in Fr. Chet’s left eye…
No bandage necessary and no overnight hospital stay…
Dr. Yoder says that everything went very well…
So well, in fact, that Fr. Chet was able to drive to West Virginia on Friday for the 75th Reunion of his High School Class of 1932…he drove back home the next day - yesterday (Saturday)…
His reading is as of yet not too much improved but will be, after his right eye has the lens replaced this coming Tuesday, and both eyes have had a chance to heal and “settle in”, as it were…
RIGHT EYE
His upcoming procedure on his right eye will take place this coming Wednesday at 7am, again with Dr. Yoder at the Harrisonburg Hospital…(the lens will also be replaced, as it was in the left eye)
Fr. Chet will drive to Harrisonburg this next Tuesday…
Patty Huffman and her husband will have him overnight on Tuesday night…
Father’s procedure on his right eye will be, as I mentioned, this coming Wednesday morning at 7am…
Father will again stay overnight Wednesday night with the Huffman’s because Dr. Yoder wants to see him on Thursday and check everything out…
This is all such wonderful news…let us keep praying for Fr. Chet and his “new eyes”…
Gentle blessings to you all,
Holly
