Hello everyone,

    I wanted you to know that the SDI faculty has scheduled our next day-long retreat out at the monastery for Saturday, October 18, 2008, from 8:30-4:30pm. Our theme is "Encountering the Holy Spirit." We are planning a day that focuses on quiet reflection, time to walk and enjoy the fall colors, journaling, and exploring the ways the Holy Spirit is present in our lives. We will also pray a selection of the Liturgy of the Hours throughout the day, as the Sisters do up at the monastery. We end the day in time for you to go up to the chapel for Vespers at 5:15pm if you have the time. 

 

  As in the past, there is no charge for this retreat, but we do collect donations for the Sisters.  We hold the retreat in the retreat cabins, which are on the grounds of the Monastery. Directions are available. We ask you to bring a bag lunch, and we provide a light bagel breakfast, beverages including coffee and tea. Also bring your bible, writing materials, journal, and comfortable shoes if you like to walk.
