Our next "Day Away" retreat at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery will be from 8:30-4:30pm on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. Our theme is "Aging and our Spiritual Growth-A Day of Journaling and Reflection." Prior experience with journaling techniques is not necessary, but if you have materials you currently use, please bring them. There will be ample time to journal, walk, and for quiet prayer. (For those you you not inclined to journal, or needing a break, we'll offer a Franciscan walk as an alternative. And as always, this is your day, so feel free to participate as the spirit moves you.)
We begin with bagels and coffee, and there will be beverages throughout the day, but do bring a bag lunch, a coffee cup, your bible and writing materials, comfortable shoes and clothes for the weather.
There is no fee for the day, but we do collect donations for the Sisters.
The retreat is held in the retreat cabins, not in the monastery. Let me know if you need directions.
