Subject: The next "Day Away" at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, Sat. Oct. 17, 2009

Hello, everyone,

I wanted to let you know that the SDI Short Course team is planning its next day retreat at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery for Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, from 8:30-4:30pm.

 

Our theme is "Listening and Responding to God's Call." We will explore how certain figures of the Old Testament and New Testament listened and responded, and reflect on our own life experiences with God's Call. We will also discuss the value of a personal Mission Statement. 

 

As before, we will time for being still, walking, reflecting, and journaling. We begin with coffee and bagels, and will provide beverages throughout the day, but bring a bag lunch, your Bible, writing materials, comfortable shoes and clothes for the weather.

 

There is no fee for the day, but we do collect donations for the Sisters.

The retreat is held in the retreat cabins, near the monastery. Directions are available.
