Today, August 7, Bill Lamond and I were delighted to find and photograph at point-blank distance this female Extra-striped Snaketail adjacent to Pautois Creek,

Nipissing. A known site but only the third of this species we've seen. Later at Aumond Creek we watched a Black-legged Spintetail catch and eat a Sweetfern Underwing;
