I was delighted to find a male Striped Saddlebags at the Forest sewage lagoon this morning, a new Lambton county record. I actually ignored it at length as it flitted around me, assuming Spot-winged Glider, but got a gut-punch when it finally landed.

Wonder if there are more about given the rather far flung nature of the record.

That is straight up COOL. 

Only the third general area of Ontario with them that has been uploaded to iNaturalist.

Just received Ed Lam's Dragonflies of NA today, 2 weeks early!
Your excellent photos match with his final species entry in the book. What a stunning bug.
It has strayed a long ways from Texas.
