Hello,

On 23 June 2026, I was walking with Sarah Lamond when we spotted a male Subarctic Bluet on Head Hydroline Rd, otherwise known as the triple hydroline corridor that bisects the east side of Algonquin Park. The individual was at a very large sedgy marsh about 3km N of the Petawawa River. It is not that surprising that they occur here as they also occur along Hwy 60 in the park, east of the Visitor Centre.

It would be a lot easier to see this species along Hwy 60 than where we saw this male!
