Hi all,
I hope that winter is treating you well!
Just putting this out here, in case anyone has any details. Doing my due diligence :)
I am currently compiling the Middlesex County ode checklist. I am working off a list given to me several years ago, and there are a few species that are entirely plausible, but I have not been able to find evidence for (i.e., photos online or mentions in the many volumes of Ontario Odonata).
The species are:
Taiga Bluet (Coenagrion
resolutum)
Ashy Clubtail (Phanogomphus lividus)
Dusky Clubtail (Phanogomphus spicatus)
Crimson-ringed Whiteface (Leucorrhinia glacialis)
Elfin Skimmer (Nannothemis bella)
I suspect the Crimson-ringed Whiteface and Elfin Skimmers records originate from Sifton Bog or perhaps the Westminster Ponds in London.
I would appreciate some insight if anyone out there has any!
Thanks,
Quinten
