There hasn’t been much activity in this group lately so let’s start the year off right with a Turquoise Bluet! On June 15, at 10:45am, I visited the boat launch site on the Sydenham River near Shetland, Ontario (north side off Dobbyn Road) to see if there were any Turquoise Bluets about. Four years ago, on June 12, 2022, Scott Connop found one and I had hopes that they might have continued their existence here. Sure enough, within 10 minutes, I found three, flying low near the shoreline vegetation. They were in company of more numerous Stream Bluets, close to the muddy boat landing. I caught one male, photographed it, and released it. Paul Carter came a few hours later but he walked a short ways down a grassy path to the left before finding one of his own.
