Yesterday (Monday) at 12:45pm my cousin was rushed to the hospital
from her doctors office because she was having a stroke. She is 56
years old, not married, no children, and a diabetic. After she was
admitted I went up there around 4:00pm and I walked in to see her in a
hospital bed and Mr. Wooten doing what they call a 'doppler' scan on
the arteries in her neck which they thought might have a blood clot in
them and that was what was causing the stroke. They came to the
conclusion that what was happening really isn't a stroke, but what
they call TIA's which are mini-strokes. Mr. Wooten said that he didn't
see anything interesting on the doppler but they really can't disclose
that information either. They began to give her the blood thinner
Plavox and a shot in her stomach which is also a blood thinner. She
has not had an attack since 3:40pm yesterday. When she has an attack
her left side is completely paralyzed and useless. Her doctor came in
this morning and they are going to do and MRA with contrast, which
means that they are going to inject this dye into her blood stream and
see where it stops to find out where the blockage might be occurring.
They believe that the blockage is somewhere in a blood vessel deep
within either the side of her brain or closer and deeper in the front
of her brain. Her parents live in Brady, TX and they arrived last
night around 7:00pm. She has a brother that is very sensitive to
information like this and to my knowledge her brother and his wife and
children and grandchild have not been informed yet. This is a very
scary thing for my cousin and for our family. If you could pass it
along that would be great! I started to look at the positive in this
and found that it was actually in Mr. Wooten, if anyone is going to be
working or running tests on a family member I am thankful that it is
Mr. Wooten, because I believe that the hands of the Lord work for Mr.
Wooten and that the Lord's work will be passed into my cousin. I hope
all of that made some type of sense.
