Tawny is keeping her horse with a family that they knew from San Angelo
(before they moved to Midland). Well, that family was out of town, but
Tawny still had to tend to her horse so she went out there on Friday.
Somewhere in the shuffle, she got bucked off, falling on her chin and
left side of her body. She tried to get up and couldn't. Tawny is
unsure what happened next, but either she laid there for a while till a
ranch hand found her, or she ended up getting up and walking and found
the ranch hand. The ranch hand then helped Tawny dial her parents
number, and it was her family who then found someone to go get her and
take her to the E.R. They got her to the hospital and did a cat scan
to see that everything is normal. She stayed with a family Friday
night to ensure that she was okay and did fine through the night. She
did call her Mom and Dad a few times Friday night and told them the
same thing every time she called - she had forgotten that she had
already talked to them. She did make it to church on Sunday so she is
getting out of her dorm room. She is still getting progressively
better, she is still sore, scratched up, and it hurts to eat because of
her jaw hitting the ground. It is obvious that God has a plan for
Tawny, and that she needs to be around to continue to fulfill His plan.
She is supposed to be back in Midland this Wednesday for the
Thanksgiving holidays for those of you who will be around. Please pray
for Tawny, and her family, as she heals from her fall.
