Hey guys,

I wanted to share some sad news with you all and also ask for some BIG
prayers. My little brother's father-in-law is not doing well. The
email attached below from my brother gives some of the details of the
situation. Your faithful prayers are requested for the sake of Mark,
his wife Rachel, and Rachel's mom Gay and the rest of their family.
Rachel's dad's name is Ross.

I completely believe that God has the power to heal. After all, we
have all read that Jesus raised Lazarus, the Roman soldier's child,
and others from the dead. I KNOW that God can heal Ross of the tumors
that have come back (he already had one tumor removed from his brain a
few years ago). I pray for God's will to be done...and I pray for
comfort for the family as His will is shown. I ask you all to join me
in those prayers. Read below if you want more details. God bless you
all.

Just wanted to let you all know that Gay (Ross's wife and my M-I-L)
has just put in the orders to start hospice care soon. They were
originally going to apply for simple home health care but Rachel is in
town this week and realized that no one person can possibly take care
of Ross in his current condition. His stroke symptoms have come back
to the forefront and are severely limiting his mobility. He does not
have the ability to get out of chairs on his own anymore and he
struggles with balance. The tumors he has are also affecting his
mental capacities as he is losing small pieces of his memory and the
area of his brain that controls motivation and reasoning has also seen
great deterioration. He is not a good chemotherapy candidate and the
locations of the new tumors are such that more harm than good would be
done if they were removed. They were trying to hold off on making
really big decisions until the holidays but he is too much of a
handful for them to wait. Ergo, the hospice should be started this
week. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers at this time. Things
will be extremely difficult emotionally for everyone around him but
the extra physical assistance from hospice will help tremendously.

Love and miss all of you.

Mark
