MPD Arrests Northeast Robbery Suspect
(Washington, D.C.) – The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in a robbery force and violence that occurred in Northeast.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, at approximately 11:13 p.m., the victims were physically assaulted by a group of suspects while in the 5600 block of Nannie Helen Burrough Avenue, Northeast. After assaulting the victims, the suspects forcibly stole items from the victims then fled the scene.
On Monday, September 1, 2025, Sixth District officers responded to the intersection of 63rd Street and Clay Street, Northeast, to investigate a report of a group of suspects with weapons.
During the on-scene investigation, officers determined one of the subjects was connected to the previous day’s robbery offense. 21-year-old Marquis Adams of Southeast, DC, unwas placed arrested and charged with Robbery.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
