Polaris Project is one of the largest anti-trafficking organizations in the United States and Japan, with programs operating at international, national and local levels.
Mark P. Lagon has previously served as Ambassador-at-Large and Director of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons; senior staff member at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and Council on Foreign Relations Fellow-in-Residence. He is author of The Reagan Doctrine: Sources of American Conduct in the Cold War's Last Chapter. He has a Ph.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. from Harvard University.
