Nope, not dead.  We're all still here.  Just nothing to report today.

People always seem to get busy over the summer months.  Most people take vacations, spend their weekends laying out by the pool, kids are out of school and less emphasis is on computers (and OpenSim).

Schools and Universities are on summer break.  Things usually begin to pick up in the fall, and people will start to come out of the woodwork as we get closer to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the winter.

I wouldn't really stress over it.  Warm weather and summertime is usually "Corona drinking time" and time for the beaches.  As it gets colder out, and we get closer to fall and winter, the users will slowly begin tinkering with OpenSim again.

OpenSim was also going through some major overhauling over the past couple of months, and many things broke (and the structure redesign of the Inventory and Authentication servers) are still being worked on, and a lot of people are just waiting for all the "dust to settle" before diving back into OpenSim again.

There was a period of time where the trunk builds weren't working, and lots of things were broken, and many users were frustrated and getting angry that things weren't working properly (and the Dev's were upset that we expected a "working trunk") so the past few months have just been pretty quiet as we gave the core Dev's some time to work on OpenSim, and hopefully we'll have a stable release in the late fall that we can all begin to use, and hopefully some new easy to use step-by-step tutorials will get written for the latest builds.

So things have been pretty quiet among the User Groups over the summer.
