Position : ETL Developer

Location: Wilmington, DE

Duration : 18+ Months

Interview : Phone / Skype 

Good communication skills, ETL developer with hopefully datastage, PL/SQL and or Oracle.

 

Overall Job Purpose:

·         Work within the Core Application Delivery Finance ETL team to participate in projects for financial reporting datamarts. 

·         Provide technical knowhow in developing features using PL/SQLs ETL scripts and Datastage.

·         As part of ETL development team member s/he needs to adhere to the Barclaycard US SDLC process.

·         Provide technical design documentation to project extended delivery teams.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Should have good experience in data warehouse application design and development.
  • Should have designed or was part of implementation of one warehouse application end to end.
  • Should be strong in Oracle PL/SQL skills.
  • Should be strong in Datastage skills.
  • Should be strong in Oracle performance tuning.
  • Experience with other ETL tools is preferred.
  • Experience in Unix/AIX scripting (Perl, Shell etc.)
  • Should have good communication skills as the role needs the individual to directly interact with business and partners.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models.

 
Key Accountabilities:

  • 2+ years of experience in PL/SQLs scripting and datastage
  • Ability to assist with functional specifications
  • Ability to create technical specifications
  • Ability to support the development, testing, debugging and documentation of PL/SQLs scripts and datastage transformations in accordance with standard development practices and architectural requirements
  • Ability to work with the Oracle database administrators and data modelers to resolve complex technical issues and understand system performance associated SQL statements.
  • Ability to estimate work, status reports, update project plans
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models and/or any standard SDLC development methodologies
  • Team player
